Youth for Human Rights Professional Development

The Faculty of Education Student Association is proud to present a Youth for Human Rights Professional Development workshop.

Youth for Human Rights is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2001 in South Africa and has quickly spread globally to spread the message of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights to young people.

The organization has put together free resource packages for teachers, including prepared lesson plans, activities, videos, and booklets all for FREE!

This one-hour workshop, conducted by Wendy Robinson from the Ottawa chapter of Youth for Human Rights, will guide Teacher Candidates through the instructional material (for all age groups) and provide you with the chance to ask questions. You can even go home with your own teacher package!!

FESA will also be providing certificates for those who complete this training, which can be used in your professional portfolios.
